Caramel Popcorn

2 c butter
2 c brown sugar
½ c white corn syrup
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
Huge bowl of popped popcorn

Mix first four ingredients in a saucepan and heat over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. You can tell it’s ready when the butter is combining with the other ingredients. Then add the baking soda and continue to mix. The baking soda will make it become frothy and you need to keep stirring it. Pour over popcorn and mix well. I like to put a little popcorn in the bowl then add some of the caramel and mix repeating until the bowl is full. I then stir it about every half hour or hour until its ready to be eaten or cooled down so that it doesn’t get all stuck together and hard to pull apart.
