This recipe was also from my friend Megan. This cake is so pretty and great for guests. Its supper rich so watch out!
Cake:
1 pkg (18.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
1 pkg (3.4 oz) chocolate instant pudding
1 c milk
½ c sour cream
4 lg eggs
2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
Glaze:
1 (2 oz) nestle toll house unsweetened chocolate baking bar
3 T butter
1 ½ c powdered sugar, sifted
2-3 Tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 and grease and flour a bundt or tube pan. Combine cake mix, pudding mix, milk, sour cream, and eggs in a large mixer on low speed until blended. Then beat on high speed for 2 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips and pour into pan. Bake for 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack for 20 minutes and then invert onto wire rack to cool completely. Dont make the mistake I did and try to dump it before coolong it....let is cool for 20 min first!
For glaze melt baking bar and butter in a small heavy saucepan over low heat stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar, alternating with water until desired consistency. Stir in vanilla extract. Pour over cake and then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
