Chicken Cordon Bleu

Chicken Cordon Bleu is one of my hubbys favorite meals. So when our friend Megan made this for us he thought he had died and gone to heaven!
6 chicken breasts
6 Tbsp butter
6 slices Swiss cheese
½ c white wine
6 slices of ham
1 Tbsp cornstarch
3 Tbsp flour
1 c heavy cream
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chicken bullion granules

Cut chicken breast in half horizontally but don’t cut it completely though. Place a slice of cheese and ham in each piece of chicken and fold the top back over. Secure with toothpicks. Mix the flour and paprika in a bowl and coat chicken. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken in butter until browned on both sides. Add the wine and the bullion and reduce heat to low. Cover pan and simmer chicken for 30 minutes or until chicken is done. Remove chicken and pull out toothpicks. Transfer chicken to a warm platter. Blend cornstarch with the cream in a bowl and then slowly whisk into the skillet, stirring until thickened and pour over chicken.
